2006 Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado

Seen by some as the anti-Olympics, the Winter X games are a good place to see more snowboarding in less time than the Olympics take.

What, Where, When?

The Winter X games took place January 28-31 at Buttermilk Mountain, in Aspen, Colorado. On the snowboarding side of things, it featured events in halfpipe, SBX (snowboardercross) and slopestyle (freestyle on the mountain, roughly). There are also events for skiers (superpipe, skier X), snowmobilers (Snocross) and motorcyclists (Best Trick).
